We first started celebrating on his actual birthday day. We went and had lunch at a park with Stephen and then the kids and Stephen brought ice cream down to my work for one of my breaks.
For his birthday party we decided to have the theme of wild animal because he is our little wild one. We sometimes call him wild animal. So his cake was lion cupcakes.
We went out to Newton and had a really good bbque. We bbqued chicken with two different marinades. One of them was a A&W rootbeer bbque sauce. It was really good and tasted a little bit like rootbeer. I know that it sounds weird but it actually was pretty good.
For everyone's birthday dinner my MIL makes their favorite food. We decided that Gavin's favorite food was fruit. So we ate some of his favorite fruits along with our bbque.
After dinner the kids played around outside for a little while. Hunter was a sweetheart and gave Gavin many horsey rides.
Next we played a couple of games. Here the kids were pretending to be hippos and trying to get muddy!!!
The kids had to feed the lion and Gavin figured out an easier way to feed him other than through his mouth.
Finally we opened presents.
Gavin loved being able to open his own presents.
