Fishing with kids
Stephen enjoys fishing and I don't really mind it. Stephen likes to river or stream fish. But it is a little hard to fish with little kids. So we have to be a little creative to have fun fishing with the little ones. It does happen though. We had a fun time fishing a couple of weekends ago. We found a place that had grass, rocks and kind of a river. I enjoyed the grass with Gavin, Beck and Hunter enjoyed throwing rocks into the water, and Stephen and Kylan enjoyed fishing.

July birthdays
This weekend we celebrated Beck and Stephen's birthdays. Beck loves cars so we had the car theme. Beck has had such a hard time with everyone's birthdays the last couple of months wondering when his birthday was. So he was so excited when he woke up Sunday morning and it was HIS birthday. The entire day he told everyone that it was his birthday and that he was three now.

One of our games was a car race. Everyone had to pick their car and we raced them.
Another game we played. The kids had to throw the football through the tire. Here is Beck.

After a couple more games, it was present time. Stephen went first and got some good presents
Then it was Beck's turn and this is what he had been waiting for. He was sooo excited with each present.
By the end of the presents he had a group helping him open them.
We then all enjoyed some cake and ice cream. I thought this was a funny picture of them blowing out the candles.

Holiday weekend
We had so much fun this weekend. It started on Thursday night the 3rd. We had a small bbque at our house that was really good then we headed over to our favorite spot to watch the fireworks.
We are waiting for the fireworks to start and enjoying our treats
The kids were so cute laying there and watching the fireworks. Everyone enjoyed them.
Then Friday we headed out to the in laws for some really good dinner and more fireworks.
After dinner we started the night with one of our favorite treats - smores

Then before it got too dark we started the sparklers for the kids. They all had a lot of fun as usual.

Everyone was ready for the real show to start and it was finally dark enough. So...
On the flasher fireworks there were a few who wanted to dance.

What a mess we made.
When we were done we all climbed into our tents which we set up in the backyard and tried to sleep.
We had so much fun and not much sleep that Saturday we had to take it easy. We spent most of the day at home just relaxing. I love long weekends. Time to have fun and relax.
