It has been our tradition on the 24th of July to go to Newton and participate in their celebration. We usually have a team for their volleyball tournament, although it has been harder since Jeremy and Melanie have moved away. This year we were the oldies of the tournament. I think that our team was the oldest and the youngest of the the teams that were playing. Our team consisted of Stephen and I, Nick, Kylan(10 years old) and Nick's brother-in-law Miles(14 years old) and Kent (one of Nick and Stephen's co-workers). I think that most of the teams were either early twenties or still teenagers. We had fun although we didn't do very well. That was ok with me though because it was really hot.
Here are some of the other activities that we enjoyed.
Kandie was being so cute waiting for the parade to start.
This year they had a bunch of races. All of our kids raced. Here is a picture of Kylan racing.
Here is Kylan's gold coin that he won for coming in 1st place. I guess it is his "gold medal".
Hunter did really well in his race also but didn't win the medal so he got to have a snow cone. Here he is after his snow cone. I bet you can't guess what flavor he had.
They had one of those big blown up slides at the park. My kids love these and we usually don't let them go down them. But they were lucky enough that grandma and grandpa bought all the kids a ticket to slide down the slide. Here is Hunter going down the slide. We all thought he looked like Patrick from Spongebob who is a starfish.
Here is Kylan going down the slide
And here is Beck and me going down the slide. It was my first time going down the slide. It was pretty fun.

That slide was fun, but the stairs totally burned my feet. Did yours get burnt?
Looks like you have had quite a fun summer. I am glad to see that I am not the only one who posts stuff WAY after it happens!
